It's been awhile, but
Peter and Peep is framed and home!
Cathy did an amazing job! I am so happy with the way it turned out!!!
The frame, itself, is just beautiful. I love the detail. I already told Cathy that I wanted my Christmas Garden finished with this frame!!!
I'll be putting Peter away until next Spring, but I couldn't resist hanging it for just a little while. It's under With thy Needle and Thread's Springtime Social.
A post just wouldn't be complete without a picture of my latest Word Play. Here's May. Don't you just love the little bee hive flying the flag.
Lest you think I've not been stitching since my last post, I've been busy stitching on
CHS The Birds & The Bees and I've finished a very cute little little piece by
Blackbird Designs called
Summer Song. I dropped it and another design,
Roses in July, An Adaptation of an antique by
NeedleWorkPress off at Cathy's today. I hope to have pictues soon! Thank you, as always, for taking time to visit and for your wonderful comments.

Peter and Peep look great in their frame. I love this design.
ReplyDeletePeter and Peep are stunning - a super stitch and you found the perfect frame. I enjoyed your May Word play piece too.
ReplyDeletePeter and Peep are lovely - gorgeous subdued colourway. The frame is gorgeous, too - and I am really going to have to start those Word Plays, they are really nice, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely framing, and a very pretty finish (love the addition of rusty pins and bells) - congrats on both, and on the as yet unseen finishes :-) Have a nice weekend.

You're right...Peter is beautifully framed. It came out great. Such a sweet, old fashioned looking piece. And you could be right about that frame being perfect for CG. Also love your Word Play. Reminds me that I am woefully behind in everything I would like to have stitched....sigh!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!

You know Peter is my favorite by far!! He looks great hanging with Spring Social. I think I detect a "With Thy Needle" theme going on here! The fabric on your Word Play is splendid, to match the perfect finishing! I'm looking forward to seeing how your other pieces turn out!

Peter and Peep looks fabulous! I would have hung it up right away. Do you change out your stitching displays seasonally? I love the Word Plays and May looks great. I can see changing those out monthly. I guess that I haven't done that much seasonal stitching. Ok, I think I need to work on that :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Oh, Linda--I'm just in love with everything about your Peter finish! And the frame is so, so perfect--what a great display you have going on there :) Love the May Word Play, too...I think I love just about everything you do!!

ReplyDeleteThe frame you selected for your Peter and Peep is beautiful. I love the detail. Your Christmas Garden will look stunning in that same framing material. I love your May Word Play. I have all the patterns but have not stitched one yet. After seeing your May pillow I know which one I am going to stitch first. Have a great week!
