The year is quickly coming to a close so I wanted to take this opportunity to post some of my final projects. Earlier this year I stitched With thy Needle & Thread's Hilda's Alphabet Brew. It was such a fun stitch that when Letters For Santa was released, I knew I'd be stitching this one, as well.
There is another sampler pillow, House of Blues & Browns. I just know that I'll be fitting it into my rotation sometime next year!
Here's my final ornament for the year. It's a Plum Street Sampler design from the 2012 Just Cross Stitch Special Christmas Issue.
Good Tidings and Great Joy
40- count Vintage Tundra Newcastle from Lakeside Linens
Gentle Arts Sampler and Shaker Sampler Threads
I'm so happy that I decided to photograph this piece before sending it off to the finisher, LOL!!! Have you noticed my error???
OOPS!!! I forgot to stitch the "Y" and "Z". Better correct that before the clock strikes twelve!!! This is Threadwork Primitives' Holly Sampler Pouch. Because it's so "gray" here today, the colors are just not showing up as they should. It's a really beautiful piece and hopefully that will show up next time.
I have so enjoyed reading all of your blogs this year and appreciate all the support that you've shown mine. I wish you all a very happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!!! There are so many beautiful new designs out there that I want to stitch and I can't wait to share them with you.
Fondly,
Linda
Beautiful finishes! I especially love the sampler pillow. Darling!

ReplyDeleteFantastic!! I'm always so inspired by you! lol about forgetting the Y and Z. I can see myself doing that for sure! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAs always Linda, your stitching is beautiful. I have really enjoyed following your blog and seeing your stitching projects. They are always pieces that I myself would love to stitch, so it is very inspiring. All the best to you in the new year! Hugs, Nan

Linda -- Beautiful stitching and I'm so lucky I got to see them in person! Can't wait to see what you stitch in 2013 and to stitch with you in the new year:))
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
What beautiful stitching you do, and your finishing is just perfect! Love that santa with the alphabet, and the ornament that you finished into a small too. I am always amazed when I see the ornaments stitched from the JCS mags, they always look so much prettier when stitched up. I hope you got your Y and Z done! Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see that Letters to Santa, I love it more and your finish is particularly darling, Linda!! So glad you spotted the missing letters, too!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a joyous New Year!
Beautiful stitches! And you have finished them so neatly too! I have Letters for Santa and the Threadworks Primitives one... I'm hoping to get them stitched for Christmas 2013... lol... yes... so many GREAT designs out there... It's difficult to keep up with them all!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes, Linda! Here's hoping 2013 is a productive stitching year for you.
ReplyDeleteLetters for Santa is great! Love the primitive reindeer motif! Beth
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finishes, Linda! I have to do that Letters for Santa, it is adorable! Your ornament is wonderful, too, but then all of your stitching is so nice. I have been feeling awkward about wanting to stitch more smalls this year than samplers, because I tend to focus mostly on samplers, but then seeing your smalls--that is what I want to aspire to! Lovely work. Happy new year to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects, nice photo's!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year,
Greetings from Debby

ReplyDeleteGreat finishes, Linda. Seems like forever since I've actually finished something. I too, love the little pillows with the striped fabrics.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work.
Bobbi
Gorgeous finishes, congratulations
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!
Great Finishes Linda. I have to admit, I noticed the missing J before the Y and Z but I know many samplers skip J. I love your Letters for Santa finish! Did you dye the fabric or just use 22ct.cream? Just bought the fabby and chart for it last week. And the backing fabric on the PSS is just perfect for the colors of the ornie. happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWow! What gorgeous work you do! I love all the details in your finishing techniques. I'm new to stitching and finishing has me totally intimidated!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, looking forward to seeing your finishes in 2013!
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful! I have Letters for Santa kitted up if I can find the time to start on it. Lovely finishing work and great photographs too...I can't seem to take any good photos to save my life! Hope you have a blessed year ahead.
ReplyDeleteThe Santa project is wonderful! Your pictures show really well.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog. Each and every one of your finishes is absolutely gorgeous! Please, please, please tell me that Baby It's Cold Outside hasn't been sent to the framer without the apostrophe, though!
