I've taken advantage of the sun today to snap some photos of recent finishes. Up to now, it's been very gloomy and I've not been able to do so.

I always look forward to stitching Nan's designs. This one just says "Christmas" to me!!!

The 2012 Just Cross Stitch Special Christmas Issue had such pretty ornament this year. This is from this issue. Each year I stitch an ornament from the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas". I'm hoping to have a tree full of them some day.

Oh my goodness. As soon as I saw this design, I knew I had to stitch it! I think that it's just lovely and I plan on keeping it out all year!!! Here's the back:

A Christmas Sampler
34 count Legacy Cafe su Lait
Belle Soie Berry Cobbler
Don't you love these little sampler ornaments! I'd love a collection of these, as well!
Heartstring Samplery
Baby, It's Cold Outside
35 count Weeks Cocoa
I hesitated to share this picture with you because it just doesn't do justice to the piece. The Coco fabric is a rich color with red modeling throughout that works perfectly back to the Pomegranate color of the house.
It was a really fun piece to stitch.
Lastly, it wouldn't be a post without a picture of my latest Word Play. This is just the cutest piece. I have one more to go and that's January. I think I'm going to miss stitching this series every month.
I have a few more surprises and hopefully will be able to post before the end of the year. Until then, I'm wishing you and yours the merriest of holidays.
Linda
What a great post Linda! I LOVE all the projects -- your work is absolutely stunning!!! My favorite is that BBD ornament. I must stitch that STAT (as Laura would say)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. See you Saturday! Can't wait:))
All of your ornaments and Christmas stitching are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEverything is wonderful. Your finishing is perfect!
ReplyDeleteLinda - I am speechless (if that is possible !) Surely you didn't stitch all this since your last post ?? whether you did or not - OH MY OH MY - what a treat for the eyes - the finishing is just super on every piece not to mention your lovely stitching. I think the December word play is my favorite of all. Mainly because I adore that backing fabric - so perfect. The BBD ornament has purely perfect fabric as well. I hope you are enjoying the sights and sounds of the season and having lots of fun even though there is NO SNOW ! At least you are not here where it is unseasonably 80 degrees. Melody
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You've done so much!!!! Wow! And I'm in love with all your ornaments -- I love the idea of a tree full of 12 days of Christmas ornies! Don't know why, but that song has a special place in my heart. :D Love your Baby it's cold outside too! Wow! Beautiful! As far as snow goes -- you're welcome to it. lol! I'm hoping for a very mild winter.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty things - Baby it's Cold is great and so is your Word Play - I have most of the charts, but haven't managed to stitch any of 'em yet.
